2002 GMC Yukon XL Denali

This is a truly one of a kind vehicle. A 23 year old vehicle with 277,000 miles on it that is ONE OWNER VEHICLE simply doesn't happen very often. Furthermore, this SUV runs and runs well! It passed smog and its safety inspection, and is good to go for a while longer yet. While there was an inspection for damage in June of 2003, the car has running ever since without another incident. Considering the years and mileage, the car is in great shape! Sure, there's scratches and a few dings and dents, but this is a Denali, the top of the line trim level of GMC vehicles. I mean, yeah it is the top of the line from 23 years ago, so no Bluetooth or touch screens, but it has a 6 slot compact disc player and a cassette deck! I have no clue if they work because I couldn't find a CD or tape to play on it, but that was the height of luxury back then!

On a personal note, The Car Dad and The Car Mom raised all 7 of us kids in vehicles like these, and some of my best driving memories were in a Yukon Denali XL very similar to this, but our big gripe as kids about that car in the Sacramento Valley heat was the black leather seats that just baked in the summer sun. With this vehicle neither the interior nor exterior are exceptionally dark, so the rays of the California sunlight rest gentler on the SUV.

This car has the staying power of a champion so iconic to this era of American made trucks. The seats are comfortably broken in leather that are in good shape for either 23 years or 277,000 miles, but especially for both! The transmission shifts smoothly and the engine is smooth and torquey to this day. If you need a large, comfortable SUV and you need it on a budget, this may be the car for you.
