2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek 2.0i Limited

The Subaru XV Crosstrek is an odd little vehicle that took the size category by storm. In most regards it outcompetes all similar vehicles to the point that most people don't know many brands entry to the subcompact SUV crossover niche, but especially out here in the Bay Area, people know Crosstreks. Subarus are a vehicle that are near and dear to my heart, having sold them new and now used as well. I've survived a few accidents in them and avoided a whole lot more thanks to both their active and passive safety features, AWD, and torquey boxer engines. This vehicle in particular has been thoroughly looked over, having gone through our mechanic twice after a buzzing noise came up on a test drive (it ended up being a broken piece of plastic, not mechanical), so if ever there was a car on our lot that I trust to have it's potential and actual issues checked and addressed, it's this one. Additionally, my best friend drives a Crosstrek and absolutely loves it, as have all my previous customers when I was selling them at a Subaru dealer.

This Crosstrek was a one owner vehicle with only 96k miles on it, meaning the owner drove it significantly less than the average driver. And they took care of it too, as there are 26 service records on the CARFAX. Now CARFAX does report minor damage to the car, but there's no visible signs of damage and the incident was in March 2021, so they continued to drive it for years without issue, meaning it passes The Car Dad smell test. The Crystal White Pearl exterior is one of Subaru's better whites, and the interior is a black leather, with matching all weather floor mats for both rows of seats and the trunk (including the back of the back row for when you lay them flat). The lightweight 2.0L 4cyl boxer engine still gives this vehicle a powerful feel that belies the reputation for being gutless. It only puts out 148hp and 145ft lbs of torque, but since the car doesn't weigh very much it both delivers the strength to drive safely just about anywhere and still gets you 26mpg in the city and 34mpg on the highway.
